Amanda knox sued by patrick lumumba? how can she even pay him?

I am have been reading about the Amanda Knox case. Well apparently Patrick Lumumba sued her (which is reasonable), but for like $800,000. Do they really think some 20 something year old girl who is now in jail for 26 years will be able to pay that? How is that even possible?
