How to approach the guy who just dumped me?

After finding out on his facebook status that he's in a relationship with someone already, I still want to talk to him face to face and clear some matters with him regarding his lies (when I asked him many times if he's single but he kept on telling "yes,i'm single" although it's a complete lie) and ask him if we can still be friends but I don't know how I'm going to approach him because he's always with his friends... I'm thinking of calling him on the phone and ask if we can talk and when he's available but I'm shy. I'm having second thoughts if it's still necessary to talk about our matter? since week ped already...? but I do really want to talk to him and still REALLY, REALLY want to make friends with him no matter what! What should I do??? Please help!
